I believe in evidence based policy making. Many of my commissions have involved elements of primary and/or secondary research. I have extensive experience of housing related research at both a local and national level.



I have extensive experience of producing briefings for national bodies which include:

• Welsh Government - Meeting the housing needs of people living with ASD (completed 2011)

• CIH Cymru – Briefing on Equality & Diversity (completed 2009)

• Involve to Inform (i2i) – Briefing note on the strategic housing function and retained housing activities (completed 2007)

• Cymorth Cymru – Production of briefing note on housing stock transfer and access to housing (completed 2006) 

• CIH Cymru – Briefing on the Strategic Housing role of Local Authorities in Wales (completed 2005)

• CIH Cymru – Briefing on Homelessness (completed 2004) 

Working as a part of Housing + Cymru I also have extensive experience of undertaking major pieces of research for national government. Major research projects include:

• Welsh Government - Evaluation of the Homelessness Prevention Grant Programme 2010 - 11 (completed 2011)
• Welsh Assembly Government - The effects of recent migration on local authorities’ allocation of housing and actions under homelessness legislation - A study in six local authorities (completed 2009) 
  



• Welsh Assembly Government – Study of Models of Accommodation for Young Single Homeless People (completed 2007)

• Welsh Assembly Government – Review of the effectiveness of Community Housing Agreements (completed 2006)
