Housing Management

I have extensive experience of developing and delivering housing management services. This includes practical experience of developing housing management policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, codes of guidance and performance requirements.

 

My approach to the development of housing management policy and practice is engaging customers and other key stakeholders at an early stage to incorporate their expectations and aspirations into the policy.

 

Using the best practices elements of 'Lean Thinking' I can streamline and reconfigure housing management processes, ensuring they make best use of technology to eliminate waste, improve efficiencies and reduce costs. 

I am able to:

  • provide advice about specific aspects of housing management policy and practice, including estate management, tenancy management, leasehold management, income collection and recovery and anti-social behaviour
  • undertake lean reviews of housing management processes
  • develop housing management policies to reflect statutory requirements and customer expectations
  • develop housing management processes to efficiently and effectively deliver policy outcomes

  • Hafod Housing Association – Review of Tenant Incentive Scheme (completed 2007)
  • Welsh Local Government Data Unit – Review of, and development of revised performance measures for landlord services (completed 2006)
  • Monmouthshire County Council – Development of Housing Anti Social Behaviour Strategy, Policy and Procedures (completed 2005)
