Accesss to Housing

I have extensive experience in developing policy and practice in respect of the homelessness responsibilities of local housing authorities and the allocations function of both local housing authorities and housing associations. My approach is to place customers at the centre of the process to ensure that systems developed make a difference for them.

I am able to:

  • undertake 'lean reviews' of homelessness and allocation processes
  • support organisations to undertake 'lean reviews' of homelessness and allocations processes, using bespoke software
  • provide advice on the allocations function, including policy and practice
  • provide advice on the development and implementation of homelessness prevention initiatives
  • provide advice and assistance in the development of a housing options approach to addressing enquiries for housing
  • provide advice and assistance in the development of common housing registers and common allocation schemes
